dARTS Theater Separates From Phase Technology
dARTS Theater is an all-digital system that includes an intelligent amplifier that calibrates the speaker’s’ performance.
dARTS Theater (Digital Audio Reference Theater Systems) has launched a new brand as it separates itself from the general Phase Technology line of products. The new brand will have its own logo, marketing, website, sales team, and representative firms.
In response to increased demand for its completely redesigned speaker line, dARTS Theater realized it needed its own dedicated sales channel to support the new brand. To aid in this, it has named Andy Lopez as director of sales for dARTS Theater, responsible for worldwide sales and marketing.
“The timing of the new brand coincides with the launch of our new products,” Lopez said. “The dARTS Theater brand will allow us to reach out to dealers, integrators, and representative firms that are interested in offering digitally calibrated theaters to their clientele – without disruption to their current speaker offerings.”
dARTS Theater is an all-digital system that includes an intelligent amplifier that calibrates the speakers’ performance. Each speaker driver in the system is custom tuned to match within 0.5 dB of one another, and every dARTS system is calibrated and aligned to a reference performance level. The system will reach a minimum SPL (loudness) of 105db anywhere the listening area.
Once installed, Audyssey MultEQ room calibration software takes over and the specific sonic footprint of the room is taken out of the equation. MultEQ corrects room anomalies to achieve a “reference” listening experience in any room, providing a precise, acoustic performance matching the sonic quality of a precision-tuned movie theater.
The new dARTS Theater digital systems are available in four variations: tower/monitor, in-wall, and custom-box setups, and unique application sizes can be special ordered.
